Export your print job as a PNG file from within your graphics editing software. The higher the resolution, the more accurate the results, but it will slow down calculation time. A good measure for a production print is to export at 300dpi.
Click on the Open PNG File button and navigate to your desired file.
Wait while the app processes your image. A blue progress bar will fill across the window.
Upon completion values will appear next the C, M, Y, K and W labels.
CMYK is the standard component colours for printing. Most of the time you only need these values.
W is most commonly used in Signage and Garment Printing. It is the white ink printed below the CMYK inks. In most cases a Direct to Garment Printer will apply another layer below the white layer. This has the same coverage as the white layer.
Click on the Copy to Clipboard button and you can now paste the results anywhere, such as in an email to your printing company so that they can quote you for the print job. Don't forget to give them the actual dimensions of the print job.
Go back to step 2 to do another one, or just close the app.
